Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in the Middle East, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, several navigation and maps applications on the Android platform demonstrated notable performance trends in the Middle East. According to data from Sensor Tower, here is an overview of the top five apps in this category.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 19.7K and peaking at 32.8K towards the end of December. Its weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising from 2.1M to over 2.4M by the end of the quarter.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 20.9K and ending at 10.4K. The app maintained a steady number of weekly active users, fluctuating around 19K throughout the quarter.

For Radar GO-X: HUD, GPS, Maps, weekly downloads varied significantly, with a peak of 15.1K in mid-November. Revenue showed a steady increase, reaching $348 in the week before the new year. The app's weekly active users mirrored the download trend, peaking at 9.9K in mid-December.

Muslim Prayer - Qibla Compass maintained a high number of weekly downloads, averaging around 23K, with a slight peak of 27.3K at the beginning of the quarter. Revenue remained relatively stable, averaging around $40 per week. Active users showed a downward trend initially, from 176.6K to 153K, before rebounding to 176.4K by the end of December.

Finally, Google Earth had consistent weekly downloads, starting at 17.9K and decreasing slightly to 13.7K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users showed a gradual decline from 222.6K to 179.8K.
